The happy diver

Just with a button pressed,
I was brought into a totally different sphere,
From the hurriedness of the terrestrial world,
Into a serene and quiet dimension of the aquatic.
Where the worries of the world is so distance.

Then I caught sight of a bubblier,
Whose bubbles reflect its bubbliness.
Swimming in the peaceful world with liveliness
Reflecting the joy which many crave for.

Oh what a memorable experience,
To see this creature in this environment.
Who compliment the colorful world with joy,
And lifting its ambience to a greater altitude.

So what is this creature?
Which has such a potential?
It is not a fish, a coral or a crustacean,
But our fellow species…. ‘the happy diver’...

Are you the rabbit?

Today, I was reminded of a story about a rabbit..
A rabbit was born in cage. During its early life, it would spend its time playing with other rabbits and exploring every
corner of the confined space. Life couldn't seems to be better as there was so much fun. Living life outside the cage never
even crossed the mind of this little rabbit. As time when on, other rabbits were removed from the cage until she was the only
rabbit left.
Thus, the rabbit was eventually left alone. What she could do was only to rest at the edge of the cage and curiously wondered
what would life be like in the outside world. It crossed her mind that the outside world appeared to look so wonderful, where
others roam around in the lush greenary, leading a carefree life. Life eventually became so bored for her that she longed to
be freed one day. However, being as helpless as she was, she could only wait for that day to come, hoping that her master
would free her.
Days passed, and eventually months, the hope of this helpless creature eventually dwindled. Together with the isolating
feeling of confinement, the rabbit became very miserable- aimless and without any purpose in life. Gradually, her desire for
freedom became so distant as misery take control over her life. Her days are thus spent just curling up at the corner
dwelling in her misery. All that was left in her mind was that life was so miserable and meaningless as she has lost all
hopes.
One day, the owner saw the pain misery of the rabbit and decided to open the cage's door to let it roam free. While opening
the door, instead of dashing out for freedom, the rabbit was still at its usual position. Thinking that the rabbit was
unaware of its freedom, the owner tried to direct her attention to freedom, but she still stayed put and just said: I am used
to the way of life and not prepared to change it....
This is a reflection of life where many of us are like the rabbit, we do have the freedom but yet prefer to stay put in our
own misery.
